About Us

Discover the heart of the Waverley Widowed Support Group and how we're dedicated to helping you navigate life after loss with a supportive and vibrant community.

Our Inspiration and Mission

The Waverley Widowed Support Group was born from a desire to create a space for widows and widowers to find their feet again after the loss of a loved one. Our main idea is to provide a supportive and social environment where members can connect, share, and rebuild their lives together. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, year-round, offering tea and coffee. We also organise occasional guest speakers and social outings, all within a safe and nurturing setting.

Activities and Support

We believe in fostering connections through shared experiences. Our members enjoy regular fortnightly restaurant dinners and various social outings as a group. These activities are designed to encourage camaraderie and provide opportunities for members to create new memories and friendships.

Our Community Atmosphere

The Waverley Widowed Support Group is here for all Widows and Widowers. We are dedicated to cultivating an atmosphere that is not only supportive but also overwhelmingly positive. We want every member to feel a sense of belonging, encouragement, and hope as they move forward.

"This group has been a lifeline for me. The warmth and understanding I've found here have made a world of difference."
